Project Details

Neville Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design services for the adaptive reuse of the historic Aurora Silverplate Manufacturing Co. site in Aurora, IL. Originally founded in 1869, this landmark facility once powered its operations through the Stolp Island Millrace and was among the first west of Chicago to fully convert to electric power. Neville’s design work supports the preservation and continued functionality of the surviving factory structure — now part of the Keystone Building — by integrating modern systems into the existing brick and limestone architecture. This project helps honor the building’s industrial legacy while enabling its contemporary use.
